Overview

Are you passionate about creating vibrant, inclusive community events? We're looking for an Events and Activations Support Officer to help deliver a dynamic calendar of major events — including the signature events in the calendar year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of Lakemba Nights, including managing stallholders, logistics, stakeholder engagement, and customer inquiries.
  • Support the planning and execution of major events and activations throughout the year.
  • Facilitate participation in community-led events across the region.
  • Handle event administration including raising purchase requisitions, processing invoices, and budget tracking.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, seek quotes, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Occasionally drive a van to transport event equipment.
  • Be available for after-hours and weekend work as required.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field — or 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • A current Class C driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • A valid Working with Children Check.
  • Proven experience in event support roles, working with community groups, staff, and volunteers.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and budget management.
  • Commitment to ethical practices, WHS, and EEO principles.
