NSW Event Coordinator
As Event Coordinator you will be responsible for delivering the logistics for designated events in the NSW Division ensuring all events run smoothly and to budget whilst meeting the expectations of Property Council members and sponsors.
Key responsibilities
- Coordination and delivery of events, including but not limited to business lunches and breakfasts, professional development courses, forums, networking events, conferences and other ad hoc events
- Contribute to event plans including managing relevant stakeholders, setting and managing timelines
- Provision of correct information for web definition set-up, preparation of run-sheets, chair notes and sponsor briefings as necessary, ensuring complete attention to detail
- Manage events to set budget targets
- Manage external providers to ensure the effective delivery of services required to deliver the event
- As required, book and confirm availability of speakers, obtain speaker biographies & marketing assets, and arrange pre-event briefings with speakers
- Liaise with the NSW Event & Marketing Manager and the NSW Receptionist and Marketing Assistant to ensure the timely creation (4-6 weeks prior) of event related promotional material based on the event brief, consider audience for specific events and contribute to the development of effective campaigns
- Analyse registrations for events and make additional efforts as necessary to maximise anticipated attendance
- Manage and track individual event budgets to ensure they are on track to reach targets
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous experience in events coordination demonstrating ability to multi-task and project manage under difficult scenarios and at different stages of their event cycle.
- Demonstrated experience working with detail-oriented tasks with a high level of accuracy, customer focus and professionalism, self-motivated.
- Marketing experience and/or expertise an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal, and can adapt to style and medium to suit message and audience.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise to meet and exceed deadlines.
- Professional attitude and professional personal presentation
- Highly organised and efficient – ability to juggle and prioritise many tasks at the same time through the use of effective time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and flexibly in a small team environment and under direction.
- Hard working, bright, astute, quick thinker and a 'can-do' attitude.
