Within the Data & Digital Group, the Service Management & Performance team is responsible for the provision, support and enhancement of the Bureau's Service Management tool. This is utilised across the Bureau of Meteorology for management of all Technology Incidents and requests, and other ITIL aligned processes required to manage the Technology environment within the Bureau.

The team takes an end-to-end view of user support and adheres to ITIL best practice for service management. It is also responsible for the development, installation, support, maintenance and procurement of the Bureau's IT Service Management (ITSM) technology system- currently Cherwell & future Neurons provided by Ivanti.

Based at the Bureau's Melbourne Office, this role plays a pivotal part in the day-to-day management of the ITSM system, which underpins all Technology Service Operations activities. Working collaboratively within a team environment is essential, as team members collectively support ongoing initiatives and contribute to the successful implementation and management of the Bureau's new Enterprise Service Management (ESM) platform, Neurons, and will report to the ITSM Manager, working closely with all groups of Bureau.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Cherwell / Neurons system administrator accreditation, including at least 3 years on the job experience in Cherwell / Neurons system support and maintenance.
  • A minimum ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate.
  • Baseline security clearance and eligibility to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 clearance.
