Area Aftersales Manager

Rhodes, New South Wales, Australia Chery Motor Australia Pty Ltd Full time

About Us

Chery is the fastest-growing automotive brands in Australia, with an ambitious expansion plan and a strong pipeline of new models. Our Aftersales team is the backbone of customer confidence and dealer success, ensuring every Chery driver enjoys industry-leading service, support, and care.

We are now seeking an Area Aftersales Manager to join our national team and take responsibility for dealer performance and support across your assigned region.

The Role

As an Area Aftersales Manager, you'll be the key link between Chery Motor Australia and our dealer network. You'll work hands-on with dealerships in your region to improve service operations, parts performance, warranty compliance, and customer experience.

This is a field-based role with regular travel, where no two days are the same. One day you might be onboarding a new dealership, the next you could be auditing warranty claims, running non-technical training, or helping a dealer resolve a challenging customer case.

Your focus will be to:

  • Drive service, parts, and warranty performance across multiple dealerships.
  • Support the onboarding of new dealerships, ensuring smooth adoption of Chery systems and processes.
  • Deliver non-technical training to dealer teams on warranty, parts ordering, and policy compliance.
  • Monitor KPIs such as CSI, service retention, and inventory health, and develop improvement plans with underperforming dealers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for regional dealers, providing guidance and escalating issues to the National Aftersales team when required.

About You

You don't need to already be in a regional role — this position is also open to ambitious candidates looking to step up.

We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds such as:

  • Dealer Aftersales Manager or Service Manager ready to expand scope beyond a single site.
  • Parts Manager or Warranty Manager with strong operational expertise.
  • Technical Trainer or Field Specialist seeking progression into management.
  • Assistant or Junior Aftersales Manager (OEM or dealer group) wanting the next step.

To succeed, you will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of service, parts, and/or warranty operations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A data-driven mindset and the ability to coach dealer teams.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly within your assigned region.

Why Join Chery?

  • Be part of the fastest-growing automotive brands in Australia.
  • Play a key role in shaping dealer network performance during an exciting growth phase.
  • Career progression opportunities into senior national roles.
  • Competitive package including car allowance and tools of trade.
