The Townsville Chamber of Commerce is looking for an innovative Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take the reins of our member based organisation and lead us into an exciting future

About the Role

As CEO, you'll be the face and voice of North Queensland business, leading a small but passionate team to:

  • Deliver high-value programs, events, and services to our members.
  • Represent the Chamber in advocacy and stakeholder forums at Local, State, and Federal levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across government, industry, and the community.
  • Drive operational excellence, and ensuring our team feel supported & valued.
  • Lead the Chamber with strategic vision, integrity, and energy.

This is a great opportunity to help shape the business landscape of North Queensland during an exciting period of regional growth.

We want someone who is:

  • Politically savvy but always apolitical in approach.
  • A strong communicator who builds trust and inspires confidence.
  • Experienced in leading teams, managing operations, and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Passionate about supporting local business and driving economic growth.
  • Strategic, innovative, and able to turn big ideas into action.

Bonus points f you've worked in membership based organisations, advocacy roles, or know the North Queensland business landscape.
