Job Description
- Lead a high-performing sales team with full ownership of strategy and execution in a fast-growing market segment
- Drive revenue growth and market share by shaping Qantas' Small and Mid-Sized Business sales strategy and airline program (Qantas Business Rewards)
- 12 months Fixed Term Contract, based at our Mascot Campus

We're looking for an experienced and driven
Senior Manager, SME Sales Operations
in a pivotal role leading our Small and Mid-Sized Business team. This position carries direct accountability for airline sales in the mid-sized business segment, a key segment for Qantas. You'll define and deliver the sales strategy to meet ambitious revenue and market share targets, while ensuring Qantas remains the airline partner of choice for SME businesses across Australia.
Leading a multi-functional, high-performing team, you'll be responsible for driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and optimising our approach to this critical market segment. No two days will be the same with your role spanning multiple facets of the business, including: leading a team of Customer Engagement Consultants, who actively manage high value relationships helping customers convert to Product, extract value and drive engagement; Feedback from customers and market insights are key to driving product development and optimisation opportunities – you'll be responsible for shaping this feedback into briefs and overseeing these through to delivery across digital, operational and marketing teams.
With ownership of sales strategy and execution, you'll work with our Revenue Management and Marketing teams to design and deliver revenue generating activity to market
As a key leader in the SME team, you will be responsible for managing sales, operational and GTM activity for key strategic initiatives, ensuring a customer first approach.

You'll Have
- 10+ years experience in sales, SME, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering results
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline
- In-depth knowledge of the SME business segment and familiarity with Qantas programs
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate strategic, financial, technological, and business issues
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and team leadership skills within a multi-functional team to drive performance and motivation
- Advanced analytical capability to translate data into insights and sound business decisions
- Proven experience managing complex business environments; engaging and influencing executive-level stakeholders
- Expertise in contractual negotiations, fare filing processes, and customer engagement models including telesales
