More About The Role
We're looking for a hands on Senior Account Manager who's passionate about PR and thrives working across large global brands. Based in Sydney, you'll be joining a supportive, fast paced team where no two days are the same from managing global campaigns to juggling timelines, teams, and stakeholders across multiple categories.
You're someone who knows how to keep things moving a natural trafficking lead and project manager who can bring clarity and structure to busy workflows. You're also comfortable digging into the data, spotting what matters, and turning it into meaningful results for clients. If you love working with smart people, building strong relationships, and driving great work across big name brands and have experience working in the agency space, this could be your next big move.
Annual Salary: $90,000 - $95,000

What You Will Do
Account Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of client campaigns, including PR strategies, calendar planning, events, and performance reporting
- Oversee the development of press materials and content, ensuring accuracy, creativity, and alignment with client brand voice
- Coach and guide junior team members in writing, editing, and campaign best practices to lift the overall quality of work
- Monitor KPIs and budgets, ensuring campaigns deliver consistent, measurable results
Media & Influencer Management
- Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media and influencers across key industries
- Proactively secure impactful coverage, features, and partnerships that elevate client visibility
- Lead press and influencer appointments, introducing junior colleagues to key contacts and fostering new opportunities
Client Service
- Manage multiple high-value client accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and key day-to-day contact
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of each client's brand, objectives, and competitive landscape
- Provide proactive, strategic solutions across PR, social, and partnerships, while responding quickly to client needs
- Drive thought leadership by sharing industry trends, insights, and opportunities that add value to client campaigns
Team Leadership
- Mentor, inspire, and support junior team members, ensuring high-quality delivery across accounts
- Encourage brainstorming, creativity, and knowledge sharing both within your team and across the agency
- Provide constructive feedback and set clear KPIs to support professional growth and development
- Lead regular internal meetings, ensuring collaboration and alignment to deliver results
New Business & Finance
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals, providing creative ideas and insights
- Identify opportunities to expand client projects and generate additional fee income
- Support with financial management including SOWs, budget tracking, timesheets, and reporting
- Develop case studies and success stories to showcase agency results
Agency Contribution
- Collaborate across the Burson and WPP networks, drawing on specialists and resources to strengthen client work
- Share fresh ideas for agency marketing, content, and channels, helping to build our profile and culture
- Stay across digital innovation and evolving PR practices, bringing new perspectives to the team
- Take an active interest in the agency's growth and success beyond day to day client work
Experience That Contributes To Success
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in public relations, ideally within a PR agency, with a strong grasp of tailoring campaigns to different audiences and markets
- Proven ability to manage complex, global accounts involving multiple brands, stakeholders, and regions
- Strong trafficking and project management skills, with confidence leading workflows, timelines, and team coordination in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable working with data and reporting and is able to analyse metrics, draw insights, and apply them to campaign strategy
- Confident communicator and trusted client partner, with experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff
