Sydney, New South Wales, Australia The Buzz Group Full time $75,000 - $105,000 per year

The Buzz Group

is an independent, integrated public relations consultancy, based in Sydney. We get results for some of the world's biggest brands, and those who aspire to be.

We're on the hunt for a highly motivated and passionate
Public Relations Specialist

who's ready to jump in, help with key accounts, and deliver standout campaigns.

You'll work with diverse, top-tier clients (with a key focus on travel, lifestyle and hospitality), build strong media and influencer relationships, and drive results that matter. We need a proactive, strategic go-getter who's always one step ahead - someone who spots opportunities, thrives in a busy environment, anticipates needs and delivers creative solutions that get measurable results.

What You'll Be Helping With:

  • Client Campaigns:
Oversee PR activities across a portfolio of your assigned clients, ensuring the smooth execution of campaigns while delivering high-quality results.
  • Crafting Compelling Press Materials:
Write, edit and refine press releases, media kits, and pitches to generate media interest and coverage for clients —across TV, magazines, newspapers, radio, podcasts, social and digital media.
  • Media Relations:

Maintain journalist relationships, leverage your contacts, and pitch stories to secure top-tier media coverage.
- Familiarisation Programs:
Plan and deliver individual and group earned FAM programs to drive long-form coverage of key events and campaigns. This includes coordinating itineraries, travel, and accommodation for media, influencers, and tourism boards.
- Client Communication:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, and ensuring their needs are met throughout the campaign process.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
Track media coverage, manage logistics, and provide clients with timely updates and WIP reports to ensure smooth and successful campaign execution.
- Supporting Campaign Strategy:
Collaborate with senior team members to contribute to the development and execution of PR strategies.
