About Syenta
Syenta is pioneering the future of semiconductor interconnect with breakthrough Localized Electrochemical Manufacturing (LEM) technology that directly addresses the AI industry's most pressing challenge: the "memory wall." Our proprietary additive manufacturing process enables sub-5μm pitch interconnects, potentially doubling memory bandwidth without changing silicon architecture – a paradigm shift comparable to EUV lithography's impact on front-end processing.
Why This Opportunity Is Exceptional

- Strong Funding Foundation: AUD $8.8 raised to-date with Blackbird Ventures, Jelix Ventures and Brindabella Capital participating in the '22 seed round and have returned for the pre-Series A raise. OIF Ventures, Salus Ventures, Robyn Denholm's Wollemi Capital Group, Singapore's SGInnovate, and US-based intelligence VC In-Q-Tel also contributed to the pre-series A
- Blue-Chip Validation: Selected for Applied Materials' prestigious ASTRA accelerator program (cohort 5, 2024)
- Location & Culture: Based at Sydney's renowned Cicada Innovation Centre – Australia's leading deep-tech startup hub. Join a dynamic, world-class team solving one of technology's most critical bottlenecks while building the next generation of AI infrastructure.

The Role: Foundation-Building Finance Leadership
As Syenta's first dedicated finance hires, you'll work directly with our leadership team to build the Company's financial foundation for our next growth phase. This is a rare opportunity to shape finance operations from the ground up at a well-funded deep-tech company with clear commercialization pathway.
Your Mission: Lead the development of Syenta's comprehensive financial model and business plan, serving as the primary financial architect for our Series A fundraising activities launching Q1 2026.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Modeling & Strategy (50%)
- Build Syenta's end to end financial model: TAM/SAM/SOM, IP licensing revenue architecture (upfront license + per wafer/volume based royalty + technology access fees), and a five year plan aligned to technical/PoC milestones
- Create scenario/sensitivity views tied to manufacturing readiness and market adoption
Series A Fundraising Support (30%)
- Own investor grade projections, KPIs, and a diligence ready model & data room; support management presentations and equity structuring with clear, defensible assumptions
- Prepare comprehensive pitch materials, financial projections, and due diligence packages for institutional investors
- Develop management presentations and participate in investor meetings providing detailed financial analysis
- Collaborate with legal and technical teams on funding documentation and equity structuring
Business Operations & Analytics (10%)
- Establish financial reporting frameworks and KPIs for a scaling deep-tech business
- Support government grant applications and consortium partnerships (US CHIPS Act, NAPMP funding)
- Stand up lean finance reporting (board pack, unit economics by use case, funnel KPIs)
- Provide financial analysis for strategic partnerships with Semiconductor ecosystem participants
Market & Competitive Insight (10%)
- Track advanced packaging/HRI trends and update model drivers (pricing corridors, adoption curves, partner take rates)
- Own development of Syenta's complete financial model: TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, IP licensing revenue structure, and 5-year strategic plan
- Build sophisticated models for our IP-licensing business (similar to ARM/Rambus): upfront license fees, per-wafer royalties, and technology access revenues
- Conduct detailed market analysis of the $80B+ advanced packaging market and position Syenta's addressable segments
- Model various commercialization scenarios: equipment sales vs. pure IP licensing vs. hybrid approaches
Growth Trajectory: This role offers exceptional expansion potential. As Syenta scales through Series A and beyond, you'll have opportunities to build your role and responsibilities within Syenta's finance function and beyond.
