About the Role
We're looking for a hungry and results-drivenSales Representative to join our Smithfield team. Reporting to the State Sales Manager NSW, this role is all about hunting new business while also nurturing existing accounts. You'll play a key role in identifying, pursuing, and converting new customers, strengthening existing relationships, and expanding Dowell's presence in the building market.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively seek and win new customers, building strong pipelines and converting opportunities into sales
- Develop and maintain existing accounts by building strong customer relationships and ensuring ongoing satisfaction
- Track and report on sales performance (KPIs) and provide insights on market trends to support continuous improvement
- Schedule site visits and work closely with builders and clients to understand their needs
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to drive sales and deliver outstanding service
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and budgets through persistence and consistent performance improvement
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to build networks and generate leads
- Stay up to date on Dowell products to provide expert guidance to customers
What We're Looking For
- Proven hunter-style sales experience – you thrive on generating and closing new business
- Background in sales within the building materials or related market (preferred)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to read building plans
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- An open, honest, and authentic approach
