What does the job look like?
Linfox's Intermodal business unit is currently seeking a Load Planner to join the team located at Laverton North VIC. As a part of this role, you will be responsible for planning loads for one of our largest retail customers for delivery across metro Melbourne and Sydney. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available working Monday to Friday starting between 7 - 8am. Key areas:
- Planning single/b-double loads and understanding various freight dimensions
- Working with multiple internal/external teams to ensure freight is planned/loaded/unloaded efficiently
- Ensuring planned loads adhere to height/weight/COR guidelines
- Communicating with drivers/other teams to ensure that all work is completed for the day in line with customer expectations and safety/compliance guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related all planned loads
Are you the one?
- Previous experience in a similar role within a transport operations environment.
- Previous knowledge within the transport industry.
- Ability to work autonomously and provide timely, safe and effective service
- Strong work ethic with a passion for the industry and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience using Blue Yonder, SAP & MS Excel will be highly regarded.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures.
