Kenmore District Kindergarten has been caring and educating 3- to 5-year-old children for over 65 years. A unique opportunity has become available for an Early Childhood Educator to join our amazing team in a permanent part-time position.

About the role

  • Assist the Teacher in planning, implementing, and evaluating the kindergarten program in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
  • Support children's learning, wellbeing, and development through meaningful interactions and intentional teaching strategies.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment indoors and outdoors.
  • Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Support inclusion and diversity within the program.
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, rest periods, and transitions.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and reflection on practice.
  • Uphold the policies, philosophy, and values of Kenmore District Kindergarten and Lady Gowrie.

About you

We are looking for an experienced educator, who is passionate about early years education, community kindergarten and creating an inclusive experience for all children and their families. The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent, ACECQA approved).
  • Have a sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and QKLG.
  • Be reliable, nurturing, and proactive in supporting both the teaching team and the children.
  • Possess a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), First Aid/CPR, Asthma, andAnaphylaxis certificates.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
