About the role:

Shape the Future of Immunisation in Victoria

As a Senior Policy & Projects Officer in the Department of Health's Immunisation Program, you'll be at the heart of initiatives that directly protect and improve the health of all Victorians.

In this role, you'll be working at the forefront of immunisation strategy, including:

  • Supporting equitable vaccine access
  • Strengthening the immunisation workforce
  • Contributing to regulatory reform.

You'll contribute to high-profile projects and policy development that include:

  • Expanding access to vaccines through the Community Pharmacist Program-enabling Victorians to receive certain treatments directly from their local pharmacy, without needing a prescription.
  • Driving regulatory reform for immunisers-including nurses, pharmacists, intern pharmacists, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners.
  • Designing and supporting strategies to increase vaccination coverage and reduce barriers to access.

This is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful public health initiatives, collaborate with passionate professionals, and help shape a healthier future for all.

Demonstrated knowledge of immunisation service delivery with understanding of relevant legislation, policy frameworks and objectives at both the state and national levels is desirable.
