About the Business Unit:
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.
The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and Emergency Services and to the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Program Officer - Governance and Reporting, the Program Officer will have the opportunity to coordinate the delivery of road safety camera strategies and statistical reports that will assist in improving the operation and management of road safety across Victoria. The position will support the Senior Program Officer in delivery of reporting and governance functions with the ability to prepare data-oriented reports for executive management and Ministers
Some of your duties will include:
- Assisting the Senior Program Officer in the coordination, planning and development of compliance activities and their implementation
- Liaising with and providing authoritative advice to stakeholders in relation to contractual and operational management and service issues
- Coordinating and supporting contract management meetings, committees and other forums including the distribution of meeting papers, preparation of agendas, taking of minutes and tracking of action items.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex policy and issues and to provide accurate and strategic advice
- Demonstrated ability to prepare well-written, timely, concise, accurate and audience-appropriate briefings, presentations, reports, and documents for publication
- Demonstrated experience in analysing, interpreting, and presenting data or information to senior management on key issues
- Demonstrated ability to apply project management methodologies to develop and maintain project reporting, governance, budget, scope, schedule, risks, and issues
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring service delivery against contract specifications.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business administration or other related fields will be an advantage.
