Db2 Healthcheck – Senior Technical Consultant

Our client is a major enterprise committed to optimising mission-critical database environments. This role is key to ensuring the health, performance, and reliability of high-volume Db2 systems.

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to deliver a comprehensive healthcheck on a high-transactional Db2 v11.5 environment (HACMP on AIX). You'll diagnose performance issues, recommend improvements, and collaborate with application specialists to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct a full healthcheck on a production Db2 instance with multiple databases.


• Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks and table reorganisation needs.


• Collaborate with WebSphere and Java application experts to diagnose and address system issues.


• Deliver actionable recommendations to enhance database performance and reliability.

Required Experience:


• Minimum 10 years' hands-on experience with IBM Db2.


• Proven track record in producing and executing Db2 healthchecks in enterprise environments.

Desirable Skills:


• Experience with HACMP on AIX.


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-transactional settings.


• Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
