About Us:

A rare opportunity exists for a passionate and caring receptionist to join our high-quality reception care team in our Port Adelaide, small animal veterinary practice. As the first point of contact for our clients, the receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for both our clients and their pets. As a veterinary team, we strive for exceptional, compassionate and professional care. In our practice, every team member brings value and is part of something that we think is exceptional within the industry. We are ideally looking for a full-time candidate but are open to part time or casual for the right fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing accurate information and scheduling appointments
  • Manage patient records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately maintained
  • Process payments, handle transactions, and manage invoicing where required
  • Assist with managing the clinic's appointment schedule
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and maintaining inventory of office supplies
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming

Requirements:

  • A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude towards pet owners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous veterinary nursing experience or experience in a veterinary receptionist role is preferred but not essential.
