About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Corporate Clinical Governance and Risk Manager. This is a pivotal role within the MHC Group that will require you to oversee clinical governance and risk management. Your objective will be to ensure that MHC is providing safe, patient-centred care and focusing on maximising patient experiences across all our sites. This role provides the unique opportunity to work across group facilities in partnership with the hospital management teams.

This is a Sydney-based role where you will be part of the Corporate Executive team and report to the Chief Executive.

Duties:

  • Ensure the delivery of safe, patient-centred care
  • Maximise patient experience
  • Ensure compliance with NSQHS Standards
  • Provide direction and support to hospitals to establish and maintain effective quality systems supported by multi-disciplinary teams
  • Provide assistance to hospitals to maintain their accreditation and compliance with regulations
  • Establish standardised delivery of clinical governance and risk management including policies and procedures, audit, education ,and incident reporting and management
  • Develop and implement clinical governance and consumer engagement strategies and initiatives and monitor data to determine outcomes
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to teams in relation to quality and clinical governance matters
  • Work collaboratively to identify and implement best practice
  • Attend each hospital on a regular basis to ensure completion of activities

Prior Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing or related field
  • A demonstrated track record of Clinical Governance and Risk Management within a private hospital operator, either at a site or Group level.
  • Proven experience of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards Accreditation processes and procedures
  • History of developing and implementing policies, procedures and disseminate information to clinical staff, managers and clinicians
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to communicate with a broad range of staff, develop effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven experience in contributing to the creation, review and continuous improvement of compliance, policies, practices and processes.
