Sydney Water provides safe drinking water to more than 5million people across Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra. They look after wastewater and some stormwater services to help protect the health of our rivers and beaches. Due to project demands, they are looking for a Projects Manager.
Your new role
Project Manager, working in the Integrated Works Program Lead the delivery of medium-to high-risk infrastructure projects within Sydney Water's Regional Two-Year Integrated Works Program, covering capital works, renewals, and minor projects. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and with the Regional Delivery Partner to proactively manage risks, resolve complex issues, and ensure integrated, whole-of-life project outcomes- Ensure Project Plans include clear targets, objectives, Key Performance Indicators, scope of work and deliverables which reflect the agreement between Sydney Water and the Regional Delivery Partner.
- Prepare Business Cases for medium-to high-risk / complexity projects to meet client expectations, including options identification, analysis and recommendation.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Regional Delivery Partner to foster a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation, and address early warnings, changes to the program and compensation events, and broader safety, environment, quality and constructability compliance matters.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or related field or experience deemed equivalent
- Proven project management experience, delivering large and multi-faceted projects, is essential.
- Proven leadership / management experience is beneficial.
- Experience working with key business stakeholders is beneficial.
- Minimum 5+ years' industry experience, including:
- Working within and leading large, multidisciplinary integrated teams and/or alliances
- Design and construction project delivery within the infrastructure/utilities sectors
- NEC4 contract management and administration
- Managing complex stakeholders
- Leading positive business change
- Program management and/or regional delivery of multiple investment programs
