Our Regional Delivery (NSW Koala Program) team is currently seeking to appoint two Senior Project Officers.

These exciting roles are responsible for coordinating regional partnerships and stakeholder networks under the NSW Koala Program. They also lead the development and implementation of projects to achieve strategic koala conservation outcomes in New South Wales.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • have demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and managing complex, large-scale and/or high value threatened species conservation projects.
  • have demonstrated skills in community engagement and managing stakeholder relationships, particularly with conflicting stakeholder views.
  • thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

Beneficial prior experience for these roles includes:

  • Developing and implementing projects to mitigate wildlife vehicle strike and/or wildlife disease.
  • Communicating contentious environmental issues with internal and external audiences.
  • Developing and managing grants and procurement contracts.

Essential Requirements

  • A science degree or a degree in a relevant natural resource discipline.
  • A valid Australian driver's licence, with four-wheel drive experience and training preferable.
