About Us

Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. About the Role

A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the permanent full-time Assistant Science Coordinator (1.0 FTE) position to join the Science Faculty at the commencement of Term 1, 2026. This (1) one-point leadership role will report to the Science Coordinator, working collaboratively with the Science faculty members and working across all year groups.

Applicants for this position must be highly effective leaders, effective classroom practitioners, dedicated team players interested in the care and welfare of students, and skilled in teaching Science to equip them to contribute to the College's educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow a creative and passionate teacher to flourish.

About You

The successful candidate will be an outstanding educator who is highly motivated to support Rosebank College's continued academic achievement by inspiring and developing innovative learning that engages and values every learner. To be considered for this position, you must be a highly dedicated leader who meets the following criteria:

  • Experience as a highly effective, innovative, and motivated educator across Stages 4 - 5 Science and a subject specialist in at least one Stage 6 Science subject
  • A minimum of three years at the Proficient Teacher level
  • Proven experience with a focus on rigorous student learning, engagement, and growth
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, research, and data-driven approach to excellence in teaching and learning
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated success in driving student achievement and growth
  • A track record of being approachable and empathetic
  • Understand and show commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching.
  • Possess proven ability to incorporate modern technologies into their teaching practice and convey passion for classroom innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a valid Working with Children Check
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
  • Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College
