Our IT infrastructure plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operations across our distribution network, and we are seeking a skilled Network Engineer (L2/L3) with deep expertise in networking and firewalls to help maintain, support, and secure our Networks.

Position Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a key member of the IT infrastructure team, responsible for managing and supporting our network and security infrastructure, with a primary focus on network performance, on-premises and cloud hosted firewall administration, and secure connectivity across our warehouses and offices. This is a Level 2/3 support role, handling escalated technical issues, participating in infrastructure projects, and proactively ensuring Network reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities:
Network & Firewall Administration (Primary Focus):

  • Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise-level networking equipment (switches).
  • Manage and administer on-premises and cloud hosted firewall Network (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Azure and load balancers) – including rule configuration, change control, and log analysis.
  • Design and implement secure LAN/WAN architectures.
  • Monitor network performance, conduct traffic analysis, and implement optimization strategies.
  • Ensure network segmentation and access controls are in place to protect sensitive Network.
  • Work with vendors and ISPs to ensure network availability and performance.

Network Support (L2/L3):

  • Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 IT support for infrastructure and network-related issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis of major incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Support Microsoft and Linux server environments, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and other core infrastructure components.
  • Participate in the planning and deployment of new Networks, infrastructure upgrades, and security enhancements.
  • Provide on-call support and after-hours coverage as needed for critical incidents or maintenance.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, firewall rules, Network architecture, and SOPs.
  • Ensure infrastructure is compliant with internal security policies and industry best practices.
  • Assist in internal and external IT audits and risk assessments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or network engineering roles, preferably within FMCG, logistics, or warehousing industries.
  • Proven hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Azure Cisco) and network design. - Extensive experience with on-premises Palo Alto Firewalls and Azure Firewalls (coding) a must.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP/OSPF, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure) is a must
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, NSE 4/5, or similar are highly desirable.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced operations and warehousing setting.
  • Some travel may be required between warehouse locations or distribution centers (interstate).
  • Hybrid/On-site work flexibility depending on business needs.
  • After Hours works - Week and Weekends will be required
