Role Overview:

Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the business, including maintaining financial records and financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • complete monthly journals including accruals, oncost adjustments, and job cost adjustments.
  • assist to ensure all monthly reports are run, per calendar dates each month
  • ensuring all payments are finalised via Jobpac through to bank
  • complete all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, and submit for approval
  • daily bank reconciliations
  • perform credit card reconciliations
  • manage the fixed asset register
  • assist with lodgment and payment of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly tax obligations
  • reconciliation of all payroll on-costs e.g. payroll tax, workers compensation
  • undertake any ad hoc financial analysis or reporting, as directed by Finance Manager or CFO

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), or similar
  • CA Accreditation (would also suit someone currently in the process of completing this)
  • Previous exposure within construction industry, or similar
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, in the Australian market

Note that this role would be office based, 5 days per week.
