Intermediate Tax Accountant – Part Time (3 Days) with Growth Potential

We are seeking an Intermediate Tax Accountant
to join our growing accounting practice in Campsie. This is a
part-time role (3 days per week to start)
with the strong possibility of expanding into a full-time position for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day accounting and taxation responsibilities, including:

• Preparing financial statements across multiple entity types
• Managing and processing all types of tax returns
• Performing account reconciliations
• Liaising directly with clients and providing high-quality service
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Contributing to ongoing process improvements within the firm

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• 2–3+ years experience
  in an accounting firm preparing financial statements and tax returns for
  Individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, Companies and SMSFs
• Proficiency with Handitax & Handiledger
  ,
  Xero
  ,
  MYOB
  ,
  Excel
  ,
  Word
  and
  AI tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills
• Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA / CA / IPA qualification
  (completed or in progress) is a bonus
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
