About the Role

We're currently seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our road crew in a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position - with the potential for extension.

You'll work across a variety of sites and national contracts, servicing both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, with occasional interstate travel offered.

You will have the added responsibility of being on-call as part of a rotating roster. You'll need to be flexible and ready to jump in when needed, ensuring we keep things running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Perform general carpentry and joinery duties, including measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.
  • Construct and repair building frameworks and structures, including plaster repairs.
  • Complete first and second fix tasks, such as installing skirting boards and architraves.
  • Install and repair structures and fixtures, including door and window installations and replacements.
  • Carry out minor tiling repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Inspect and replace damaged frameworks, structures, or fixtures to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Conduct general maintenance checks and repairs, following client quotes and requirements.
  • Respond to service calls, including after-hours jobs, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, supporting senior staff when needed.
  • Apply strong safety practices, attention to detail, and effective time management in all tasks.

What You'll Bring

  • Trade Certificate in Carpentry or related
  • 3–5 years hands on experience as a Carpenter
  • Maintenance and commercial experience desirable
  • White Card and valid Driver's License to be able to travel to various client locations
  • Working at heights and other tickets desirable but not essential
