Our client

This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, dynamic Senior Accountant to join a successful Aussie financial services group. They operate in an extremely resilient sector and have gone from strength to strength in recent years.

Closely knit team with strong culture, our client is based in CBD with WFH on offer.

The role

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to - 

  • Full responsibility of month end reporting
  • Analysis & interpretation of company performance and in depth analysis of clinical performance
  • Establish, implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Dealing with external Accountants, Tax Advisers, and Auditors
  • Being a key member with regards to annual audit and half yearly audit review
  • Compliance requirements of superannuation, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, ABS etc
  • Consolidating monthly results with commentary / analyses of balance sheet movements and income statement variances against budget / forecast

About you

  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Training in either audit or business advisory (desired but non essential)
  • Experience in financial services industry (desired but non essential)
  • Outstanding communicator
