About the Role
  • Enhance safety and provide vital support for victims at risk.
  • Reduce social isolation and remove barriers that prevent victims from accessing essential services such as healthcare, housing, legal assistance, financial support, counselling, therapeutic programs, and parenting services.
  • Deliver confidential, professional, and relevant services to victims and their families, using a brief intervention model that may include risk assessments, safety planning, psycho-education, counselling, and referrals to other services.
  • Promote a collaborative and integrated approach to addressing domestic and family violence.
About You
  • You have AASW accredited Social Worker (overseas qualifications must provide the AASW Overseas Assessment number) with a strong understanding of the AASW Practice Standards, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement
  • You have proven expertise in Domestic Violence response within a healthcare setting, including crisis and safety assessment, short-term counselling, support, and effective referral pathways
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of the impact of trauma related to interpersonal violence, along with current evidence-based recovery and treatment interventions.
