PERSOL is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected national financial services firm seeking a
Risk Insurance Advisor
to join their Newcastle based investment services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a client-focused role where your expertise will directly support individuals in protecting their financial future.

The Role

As a Risk Insurance Advisor, you'll work directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored personal insurance strategies across Life, TPD, Trauma, and Income Protection. Backed by a skilled paraplanning and admin team, you'll focus on delivering quality advice and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to understand their current situation and insurance needs
  • Provide clear, strategic advice aligned to clients' life and financial goals
  • Oversee the end-to-end insurance process from advice to implementation
  • Regularly review client portfolios to ensure policies remain appropriate
  • Collaborate with internal teams to finalise advice documents and applications
  • Manage ongoing relationships with clients, colleagues, and insurance providers
  • Maintain accurate client records and follow internal compliance workflows

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Current Authorised Representative status
  • Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and RG146 compliant
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • Compliant with FASEA, TASA, and other relevant regulatory standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with a client-first approach
