HIRING: Senior API Engineer – API Gateway – OAuth – Cloud Migration – Sydney – Permanent

Package: Up to $194k + bonus

Location: Sydney (Hybrid / Remote options)

We're looking for a hands-on Senior API Engineer to join a major financial services client on a large-scale cloud migration project involving their API platform.

You'll be working with hundreds of API proxies, complex authentication flows, and large-scale customer impact.

Day-to-day:

Designing and managing API proxies and authentication flows

Supporting a zero-downtime migration

Collaborating with engineering, product, and architecture teams

Ensuring secure and scalable API solutions

Key skills:

Strong experience with API gateways and cloud-based API management

Solid understanding of OAuth and API security

Experience with proxy configurations and complex routing

Familiarity with cloud migrations and production deployments
