A high-profile fintech company looking for Senior Engineer - Python, Java, AWS, PostgreSQL, React

HAYS have partnered with an Australian FinTech in their search for a Senior Software Engineer on a permanent basis. The company has a brilliant reputation for building world-class solutions and has some of the best engineers in Sydney working for them.

The company has grown significantly over the past 5 years and is now one of the most respected and established FinTech's in Australia. They provide a flexible and supportive working environment and generous salary package with genuine career progression.

Location: Sydney CBD

Working Environment: Hybrid, 3 days per week in office

Engagement: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $150-$170K plus super (might be negotiable for the right candidate)

Your new company

You'll be joining an established FinTech company in Sydney CBD. The business has hit some major milestones over the last few years and is now recognised as a leader within their industry, providing solutions to some of the most recognisable companies in Financial Services.

The Role

The role will primarily focus on back-end development using Python, APIs, and PostgreSQL. However, familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries is highly desirable. As the company leverages React, candidates with strong commercial experience in React will be especially well-suited.

This team's competence extends from full-stack web solutions, API middleware and databases, advanced data visualisation with JavaScript single page applications, and Big Data tool sets such as Spark and Redshift.

  • Ideally, experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers
