The Role

  • Assess data and documentation from local governments to support compliance monitoring activities.
  • Assists with the collection, collation and entry of data and documentation, maintaining accurate records or registers relating to compliance and monitoring activities.
  • Uses sound judgment, knowledge and experience to conduct review of forms, returns or submissions for completeness and coordinate reviews, making risk-based assessments to achieve appropriate outcomes.
  • Provides advice and guidance to a range of compliance and monitoring matters of a regulatory nature.
  • Provides administrative support for compliance activities including maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaises with local governments and other areas of the department to clarify information and ensure the effectiveness of compliance monitoring activities.
  • Under relevant legislation, performs statutory functions and exercises delegated statutory powers.
