Application Developer

As an Application Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in building both product and custom applications that empower our customers to derive maximum value from our offerings on a global scale. You'll work closely with the WideSky product team to design, develop, and implement applications that integrate with our platform, focusing on UI/UX, as well as providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to meet customer needs.

About the Role

We build a broad range of end-to-end platform solutions for our customers within several domains globally. Key job responsibilities include:

• Develop, deploy and maintain applications and structured data models within the WideSky platform
• Design intuitive and responsive UI/UX, ensuring a seamless user experience
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with the WideSky product team to align development with product strategy and contribute to the roadmap
• Support customers by troubleshooting and ensuring smooth application operation
• Create and share best practices and product documentation across industry sectors
• Act as a technical liaison between customers and engineering to resolve challenges
• Update and maintain and product documentation, guides, and training materials
• Develop and manage code workflows (Git), continuous Integration processes, project management tools and issue tracking tools
• Assisting in the analysis and design of applications programs and databases
• Liaising with users

About you

The role is an mid-level; however, we will consider all candidates have a demonstrated professional attitude and aptitude. The successful candidates will have the following:

• 2+ years of experience in application development or a related technical engineering role
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in scripting, JavaScript, and Git
• Experience in communicating with customers, technical teams, and developing written documentation
• Highly innovative, flexible, and self-directed, with a passion for developing and improving applications
• Experience with front-end technologies and back-end development
• Knowledge of databases and ORM technologies.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms
