Our client is a globally recognised tier-one solar panel manufacturer, now expanding into the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) market. With a proven track record of innovation and performance across international markets, the company is poised to introduce its residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) BESS solutions to Australia — one of the fastest-growing renewable energy markets in the world.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal leadership role for an accomplished sales professional to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy for the company's new BESS product line. As Head of Sales, you will drive the launch, positioning, and commercial success of the product across Australia, building and leading a high-performing sales function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the national sales strategy for residential and C&I BESS solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key channel partners.
  • Lead the team to achieve aggressive market penetration and revenue growth targets.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and product integration.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, technical, and project delivery teams to ensure a seamless market rollout.

About You

We're looking for an experienced energy or renewables sales leader who can bring commercial vision, technical understanding, and entrepreneurial drive.

You will have:

  • Proven experience leading sales in energy storage, solar, or renewable energy markets.
  • Strong network and understanding of Australian residential and C&I distribution channels.
  • Track record of launching new products or market segments successfully.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
