Assistant Motel Manager

We are seeking a positive, motivated, and enthusiastic person with a flexible, 'can-do' attitude to join our team as an Assistant Motel Manager. This is a live-in position at our 25-room, 4-star motel located on Brisbane's southside. We cater to both corporate and leisure markets and maintain a very high occupancy rate. Please note that we do not serve meals at the motel, and linen services are outsourced.

The preferred commencement date is October 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting guests with check-in/check-out.
  • Managing reservations and handling guest enquiries, bookings and payments
  • Performing administration duties, including MYOB and financial reporting
  • Ensuring the smooth daily operations of the motel
  • Managing inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary supplies are stocked and available for both guests and staff
  • Monitoring health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff
  • Managing guest feedback to continuously improve the guest experience
  • Interacting with and supporting a small, reliable team of casual housekeeping staff

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • A passion for customer service
  • Well presented with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with GuestPoint or a similar booking system is an advantage but not essential
  • Experience with MYOB or similar accounting system
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
  • Accurate administration skills with a commitment to quality systems and procedures
  • At least 2 years' experience in an administration or similar role
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position

Accommodation Package:

The successful applicant will be required to live onsite in a spacious, air-conditioned, well presented and very comfortable 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment located upstairs from reception. The accommodation is offered at $320 per week, including electricity, gas, water, and internet.
