Technical Specialist – Dynamics 365 CRM & Power Platform

Location: Sydney, Brisbane or Melboure

This is a hybrid opportunity where you will work 2 days in the office or on the client site and 3 days a week from home or as agreed with your manager.

About the role

Leadership: The Practice Lead for this role is Karthik Srinivasan. Based in Sydney, Karthik leads the Business Applications team in our Eastern Region and is passionate about fostering team spirit and enabling team members to reach their potential through learning and development. The Business Applications team is focused on providing services and delivering solutions based on Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

As a Technical Specialist you are delivery focused and viewed as a trusted advisor by our clients. You act as a team lead on smaller engagements and will be responsible for working directly with customers to deliver and execute Insight's current and future services offerings in the BizApps space. Along the way, you will get to:

  • Act as leader for the differentiation of Insight's technical capability
  • Act as a team lead on smaller engagements taking ownership of the team tasks
  • Assist other team members in resolving common development and design problems.
  • Develop solution knowledge and share this IP both locally and Asia Pacific wide.
  • Focus on assisting the practice team to meet the Services Practice's financial target.
  • Provide consulting services including discovery, design, build, deployment, test, pilot, documentation, and transition.
  • Assist customers in resolving highly technical and complex problems.
  • Work within political, cost, and technical constraints to provide the most appropriate solution for the client.
  • Collaborate with project manager(s) in project planning.
  • Effectively and consistently report status of projects back to project managers during project execution.
  • Assist with project closure by developing project artefacts, participating in project lessons learned.
  • Display strong situational analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Maintain professional demeanour and appearance at all times.
  • Collaborate with teammates (internal/external) using various tools and methods (Blogs, Conferences, etc).
  • Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Take responsibility as the technical representative of Insight within strategic accounts to develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for Insight.
  • Develop profile as a technical leader in an Insight specialist solution area

We are looking for a Technical Specialist with the following capabilities:

Consultative:

  • Experienced in technical roles within a Services environment.
  • Ability to map client's business needs to Insight's technology solution offerings.
  • Ability to write quality high level and detailed architectural diagrams, strategic roadmaps and technical documentation that communicate customer vision
  • Can understand and apply architectural principles.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills combined with sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to develop technical requirements based on business imperatives.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a small team.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
  • Excellent written (documentation) and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analysis skills with the ability to work with a client to understand requirements, define and present appropriate solution, and oversee delivery of a solution to the client.
  • Execute end to end projects, from the initial gathering phase, design, implementation, training, hand over and post deployment support
  • Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy.
  • Plans own work to meet given objectives and processes.
  • Understands and manages project technical scope to align with the budget and time available.
  • Comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions

Technical:

  • MS Dynamics 365
  • Expert level understanding of at least 2 of the Dynamics 365 First Party Applications
  • Expert level understanding and hands on experience with Power Automate and Canvas Apps.
  • Working knowledge with hands on experience with Power BI, Power Pages and AI Builder
  • Experience with complex CRM configuration and customisation including integration and data migration
  • Best practice and implementation with Application Lifecycle Management
  • Experience with Power Platform Centre of Excellence Toolkit
