Aboriginal Enterprises Australia (AEA) specialise in providing construction and maintenance services to the mining, commercial and residential sectors in remote areas of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader for our Robinson River Homelands Services contract.

**This is a residential role with relocation support and housing on offer.

About the Role

This role is crucial to the execution and delivery of the requirements around our Housing, Municipal, and Essential Services contract in Robinson River. It is offered as a fixed term role up until 30th June 2026, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of small machinery, tools, plant and equipment including tractor, ride on mower, hands tools
  • Prepare and submit local and remote plans on a weekly basis
  • Maintain records of all jobs
  • Timesheet completion and submission daily
  • Supervise, coach and mentor the local team, driving quality and safety practices
  • Coordinate materials and resources onsite, and submit requests for additional needs
  • Ensure all plant, tools, equipment and workspaces are maintained in good working order and clean
  • Stakeholder engagement across the community

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven ability to supervise a small team of local employees
  • Demonstrated experience in the use and maintenance of a range of small machinery, plant and equipment
  • Sound knowledge and skills gained through on the job experience in Municipal services and general maintenance and upkeep duties
  • Proactive safety focus and willingness to always adhere to safe work practices
  • Solid communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
  • Basic computer literacy for job and time record submissions, as well as weekly reporting
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a remote, diverse environment
  • Experience operating a 4 x 4 in a safe manner
  • Cross-cultural awareness
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug screen
  • Full permanent Australian working rights

Essential Qualifications

  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • White Card
  • Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain one prior to employment)
