About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. About the roles

- $68K- $71K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Team Leader to oversee and actively participate in the delivery of waste collection and disposal services across the region. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring operations are carried out efficiently and in accordance with relevant industry standards, legislation, and Council policies and procedures. The position will also manage and respond to customer requests and enquiries relating to waste services, ensuring a timely and effective resolution. The successful applicant will have proven experience in coordinating waste collection and disposal operations, with a strong focus on service delivery, safety, and operational excellence.
Additional Factors
- Participation in after hours and weekend work is a requirement of this position
- Level of fitness required to undertake a broad range of physical tasks
- Operating equipment in varying degrees of noise and vibration
- Working outdoors in hot conditions
- Immunisation injections will be required
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver's licence
- General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card)
- Plant Operator ticket (e.g. Loader/Compactor)
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience operating side/rear lift truck, compactor, roll-on-roll off truck
- Agricultural Chemical Distribution and Control (ACDC) Licence or Australian ChemCert

Skills and experience

- Basic level of keyboard and computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
