We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our friendly general practice team. Our clinic currently has two doctors, with one doctor consulting at a time.

This role will commence on a casual, part-time basis with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Hourly rate: $33–$35 (depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities

  • Chronic Disease Management planning (essential)
  • Childhood immunisations, seasonal and travel vaccinations
  • Wound care and dressing management
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Triage and patient support
  • Telephone result recalls and reminder systems
  • Cold chain monitoring and infection control compliance
  • Assisting doctors with minor procedures

Essential Criteria

  • Current AHPRA registration and CPR certificate
  • COVID-19 vaccine training program certificate
  • Current indemnity insurance
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a general practice or primary health care setting
  • Strong knowledge of CDMP processes
  • Ability to assist with minor procedures and wound management
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and motivation for quality improvement
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team with excellent handover communication

Desirable Criteria

  • Immunisation certificate
  • Knowledge of Medicare item numbers
  • Experience using Best Practice software
