Are you a reliable, steady-hand payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time role where you can make a real impact?
We're seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a growing team in the renewable energy space where you'll be joining a fully remote-friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a working parent, consultant, or someone seeking stability and balance while being part of a thriving, purpose-driven business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior People Operations Manager, you'll be managing end-to-end payroll for the Australian team of 175 people across Australia, as well as a small UK payroll, ensuring every pay run is accurate and smooth. This is a hands-on role, covering:
- Processing Australian and UK payroll (no complex awards or enterprise agreements)
- Superannuation, tax, and employment administration
- Maintaining and updating employee data
- Helping streamline payroll processes and contributing to continuous improvement
You'll be the go-to person for payroll administration, working closely with the People & Talent team to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
- Solid payroll experience, ideally with both Australian and some UK exposure (UK experience is a bonus, not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Comfortable handling the full payroll cycle with minimal supervision
- Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Prior experience at a growing company, a start-up, or a tech company would be advantageous
Why You'll Love This Role
- Fully remote with the option to work from a small city office if you like face-to-face time
- Flexible 2-day per week schedule, with the possibility of 3 days if preferred
- Join a growing, booming business with international expansion and exciting projects ahead
- Salary range: $85,000–$95,000 FTE pro-rata, with flexibility for the right candidate
- Start ideally at the end of November or early December to help with the December pay run
If you are confident that your experience reflects the criteria outlined, please apply online to the attention of Ellie Stock referencing Job
