About the role

The Senior Manager, Risk Transformation Governance at Cbus is responsible for developing and managing governance mechanisms and forums to support the uplift of risk management capability and culture across the organisation's Risk Transformation program of work. Reporting to the Group Head of Risk Transformation, you will define and maintain the governance and oversight approach and activities for the program and ensure these are in place and well managed. You will also work closely with senior executives, the Board, 1st line Risk and Compliance, business stakeholders and other Group Risk teams to drive proactive and collaborative risk management.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop governance metrics, dashboards, frameworks, policies and charters to support program delivery and performance reporting to senior leadership and the Board
  • Lead and support governance forums and activities including secretariat and chair responsibilities for key committees
  • Provide governance advice across workstreams, facilitate training and awareness programs and ensure effective communication between management and governance bodies
  • Identify, oversee and report on program risk and issues, recommend mitigation strategies and manage internal/external audit support and remediation tracking
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong stakeholder relationships and escalating issues to senior leaders and executives as appropriate

What will you bring?

  • Experience in a similar Senior Manager, Governance position in a regulatory environment ideally in Superannuation or Financial Services
  • Skilled in compliance communications, risk systems and delivering member-focused, regulator-compliant advice programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead initiatives and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Proficient in using enterprise risk and compliance systems to support governance functions
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and stakeholder engagement skills
