RAAM Storage is a family-owned business seeking Draftsperson/Estimator for Storage Equipment projects (Pallet Racking, Shelving, Cantilever, Mezzanine Floors etc).

About the Role

With our office located at Wetherill Park, we are seeking Draftsperson/Estimator who will support project design and planning through detailed drafting, cost estimation, and budgeting. They will work closely with sales, engineers, project managers and customers to create suitable design & cost as well as to ensure the efficient execution of the projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and gather relevant information from clients in order to come up with the desired design or solution.
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams using CAD software.
• Review project specifications and incorporate engineering changes.
• Assist in estimating material quantities and project costs.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
• Maintain and organize project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project goals and ensure feasibility.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, material lists, and pricing data for future reference.
• Consult with clients on their warehouse requirements and provide a solution to their needs.
• Process layouts with accuracy and professionalism.
• Ensure that all contractors adhere to company policy and applicable regulatory rules and requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong AutoCAD skills,
• Experience in the warehouse design and estimation of racking systems (preferred).
• Strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail with a high-quality approach to given tasks.
• Competent with Microsoft Excel software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
