The Opportunity
Join our Adelaide Wealth team as an Associate Advisor working directly with a Partner and senior advisors. You'll help deliver thoughtful, high-touch advice across a wide variety of client groups, including sophisticated HNW/UHNW families and Protective Trust clients - work that calls for sound judgement, professionalism and care.
Day to day, expect variety: financial modelling and portfolio construction, preparing advice documents and meeting packs, then rolling up your sleeves on transitions, cash management and corporate actions as the team onboards new clients and scales. We're open on background (early-career, returning to work, or experienced) if you bring a genuine passion for the industry, agility and a growth mindset.
As you develop, there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility, including managing a small client set under supervision. Progression toward Senior Associate is supported, as your capability grows and business needs allow.
What You'll Do
- Support a Partner, Director and Advisor in understanding clients' financial goals, risk profiles and objectives.
- Assist in financial modelling, portfolio construction and preparing tailored investment strategies.
- Prepare and draft Investment Policy Statements, Investment Strategies and Statements of Advice for review.
- Participate in and prepare materials for client meetings; record minutes and follow up on actions.
- Assist with portfolio implementation activities including rebalances, cash management, trades, corporate actions and transitions.
- Contribute to private equity and direct investment administration.
- Deliver administrative support including client reporting packs, payments and asset transfers.
About You
You're a keen learner with resilience, strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for wealth management. You thrive in a high-integrity, high-performance environment where accountability and critical thinking are valued.
You bring:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications or CFA progress highly regarded).
- Ideally 2+ years' experience in financial services or professional services, though recent graduates with the right mindset and commitment will be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability and the agility to work across different client types.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to meeting ASIC professional standards and progressing toward accreditation.
Culture & Benefits
- Supportive flexible work arrangements.
- Opportunity to purchase up to four weeks additional leave each year.
- Recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (Workplace Gender Equality Agency).
- Professional training and development for staff of all levels.
- Yearly health and well-being allowance and ongoing activities.
- Work with industry experts in highly specialised roles.
- Employee assistance program that offers free counselling and support for you and your family.
- Annual performance payment (based on your performance and Firm-wide results).
- Paid community / volunteer days and an award-winning staff giving program.
- Reward and Recognition program.
