National HSE Manager
Location: Victoria or South Australia
Shadbolt Group is a proudly Australian engineering and manufacturing business (est with a national footprint across Defence, Infrastructure, Energy, Mining and Industrial sectors. We are seeking a highly experienced National HSE Manager to lead our health, safety and environmental strategy across multiple sites.

This is a key leadership role driving compliance, culture, and continuous improvement in a complex, high-risk industry environment.

About The Role

  • Lead Shadbolt's national HSE systems and governance framework
  • Drive a strong safety culture across workshops, shipyards, and project sites
  • Partner with senior leaders, project managers, regulators and clients to deliver safe, compliant outcomes

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned to ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Oversee risk management, audits, incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Embed safety into new projects and operations from mobilisation through execution
  • Lead training, toolbox talks, inductions and safety awareness programs
  • Report safety performance and improvement initiatives to the Executive Team

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in WHS/OHS, Risk Management, Engineering or related discipline (Diploma or higher)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk frameworks, and ISO management systems
  • Experience managing HSE in engineering, fabrication, shipbuilding or heavy industry environments
  • Proven leadership in driving cultural change and engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • ICAM/TapRooT or equivalent incident investigation training
  • Eligibility for Defence security clearance and willingness to travel nationally
