We are partnering with a leading top tier law firm who are seeking a talented
Associate and Senior Associate
to join it's Employment team based in
Sydney and Melbourne
. This firm is renowned for providing premium quality, full-service legal advice to some of the most ambitious organisations worldwide.

The Employment team specialises in advising employers on a range of complex and intricate matters including:

  • Employment and industrial relations
  • Discrimination and equal opportunity
  • Work health and safety
  • Crisis management and incident response
  • Executive and board-level matters

The team supports clients across various sectors, such as banking, aviation, retail, manufacturing, transport, and the public sector.

The Role

This position involves working closely with a group of highly regarded Partners and collaborating with a broader team of specialists. The role offers a mix of advisory, transactional, and contentious work, including:

  • Advising on employment strategies and compliance
  • Supporting workforce matters related to M&A transactions
  • Handling enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, and other employment law challenges
  • Representing clients in Fair Work Commission and anti-discrimination proceedings

You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior lawyers, contribute to the team's growth, and develop your own client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-8 years post admission experience' from a leading employment practice in a mid tier, national or top tier firm
  • Demonstrated experience in employment law, including advising on M&A, industrial relations, and general protections matters
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • A proactive and collaborative approach
  • A drive to excel in a high-performing team
