Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Analyst with a solid background in both manual and automated testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in an Agile environment and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our applications across the full software development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and maintain test strategies and provide feedback to enhance our products and processes.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing to validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of quality.
- Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression tests, using industry-standard tools and frameworks (Playwright with Typescript) with cucumber BDD framework.
- Test Planning & Execution: Collaborate with product owners, BA, developers, and other stakeholders to define test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria. Execute tests and ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are met.
- Agile Methodology: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.), providing valuable input and feedback based on testing outcomes and product goals.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and feedback during the software development lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers to investigate defects, understand feature requirements, and suggest solutions for potential quality improvements.
- Reporting & Metrics: Provide comprehensive test reports, metrics, and updates to stakeholders. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the test process, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Test Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of test cases, test scripts, test results, and defect logs preferably using tools like Value Edge, JIRA, Confluence etc.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for candidates with a combination of the following:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (manual and automation testing).
- Strong experience working in an Agile environment and familiar with Agile principles (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques for functional, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) with experience in developing automation framework.
- Experience in Accessibility Testing to meet WCAG 2.2 compliance using open-source tools
- Strong knowledge of Agile testing practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Value Edge, Microfocus ALM.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS) for test environments.
- Experience in mobile application testing (iOS/Android) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
