Iconic 100+ year old venue, the Farmers Arms, located on the main street of Beeac. We are known for our great food, friendly service and good times. Our menu is a mix of pub classics and modern creations from the land and sea.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Chef to work with us on a full-time basis.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrated experience working as a qualified chef in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Creating an innovative and appealing menu, including specials, which are aligned with our target audience.
  • Developing and improving recipes and current menu items.
  • Overseeing preparation of ingredients and ensuring they are of high quality.
  • Collaborating with front of house staff to ensure the best possible dining experience for our customers.
  • Excellent pan skill, solid knowledge of sauces with a creative flair.
  • Have the desire to be involved in menu development including creating specials.
  • A strong understanding of ordering and stock rotation, including stock take.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and surrounds.
  • Planning and executing special events including menu selection and preparation.

Key Selection Criteria

  • 3 years full time experience as a cook in an Australian restaurant.
  • Australian Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Exceptional organisation, communication and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and unsupervised.
