As we plan to expand our menu and introduce dinner service, we are looking for an experienced cook to join our team and help elevate our offerings. With a growing market demand and exciting expansion plans, we need a dedicated professional who can help us manage the kitchen while allowing the owners to focus on growth.

Position Title: Cook

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes in line with the cafe's menu.
  • Ensure high-quality food standards and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage kitchen staff during peak hours and collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Oversee inventory, food orders, and manage kitchen budgets effectively.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during busy periods.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
  • Passion for food and creating exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time (Approx. 38 hours a week)

Base Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus super (depending on experience)
