Are you an experienced Compliance Officer looking for your next challenge?

The Role:

We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our Sustainability & Environment team based in Perth's CBD. 

Please note that this role will involve frequent day travel and infrequent overnight travel to some of our WA sites.

You will play a vital part in the compliance of our Agribusiness operations and strategy. As part of Harvest Road Group's commitment to the environment, animals and people, this role will work closely with all business units to support compliance.

You will also help drive innovation, maintain integrity across all compliance activities, and partner with the business to embed compliance while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and verify data on a monthly basis from a range of stakeholders across a breadth of data sets.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to maintain compliance.
• Develop internal audit criteria against external audit standards.  
• Travel to site to coordinate and monitor compliance through the entire program lifecycle.
• Actively engage and manage program expectations with external, internal stakeholders.
• Run compliance status meetings, site meetings and provide regular updates to the leadership team.
• Act as the point of contact for compliance activities internally and to external standards auditors and secondary point of contact to external regulators.
• Manage compliance performance with appropriate KPIs using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

About You:

• Tertiary qualified or applied experience in a commercial or technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in compliance or related roles with large complex organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with partners and stakeholders as a key point of contact for compliance reporting.
• A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail and maintaining critical due dates.
• Demonstrated track record of compliance management including previous compliance planning and team management experience.
• The ability to effectively lead and inspire cross functional teams that focus on delivery, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Hold a current driver's licence.
