About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven University Representative to lead recruitment and outreach activities across Australia for a leading international medical school. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing student recruitment strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and enrolment from Australian students and schools into our Doctor of Medicine (MD) and pre-medical programs.

University Representative – Australia (Medical School Recruitment)

Location: Sydney

Position Type: Full-time

Reports To: Director of Recruitment (ANZ) – Medical Division

Salary Range: AUD $65,000 – $75,000 per annum (plus performance-based incentives)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven University Representative to lead recruitment and outreach activities across Australia for a leading international Medical School. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing student recruitment strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and enrollment from Australia students and schools into our Doctor of Medicine (MD) and pre-medical programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Recruitment & Relationship Management

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified Australia students to the medical school.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high school and university counsellors, pre-med advisors, and educational consultants.
  • Provide personalized guidance to prospective students and families regarding program offerings, admissions requirements, and career pathways.
  • Follow up with applicants throughout the admissions process to ensure conversion and enrollment goals are met.

2. Agent Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage education agents across Australia.
  • Train agents on program features, admissions processes, and institutional value propositions.
  • Monitor agent performance and ensure compliance with ethical recruitment standards and institutional policies.

3. Events and Outreach

  • Plan, coordinate, and represent the medical school at education fairs, career expos, open days, and medical school information sessions.
  • Organize and conduct school visits, classroom presentations, and information sessions for students, parents, and guidance counsellors.
  • Partner up with local organizations and educational networks to expand outreach opportunities.

4. Marketing and Promotion

  • Work closely with the marketing team to localize promotional materials and campaigns for the Australian market.
  • Develop social media engagement strategies and contribute to digital marketing initiatives targeting prospective Australian students.

5. Reporting and Data Management

  • Maintain accurate recruitment data in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular progress reports, market insights, and recommendations to improve recruitment performance.
  • Monitor competitor activities and identify emerging trends in Australian medical education recruitment.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in education, marketing, communications, or a related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or higher education marketing (medical or health sciences recruitment preferred).
  • Proven success in managing agent networks and conducting outreach events.
  • Strong understanding of the Australia education system, especially university.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Australia and occasionally internationally.

Preferred:

  • Experience recruiting for international medical or health sciences programs.
  • Existing network of Australia high school counsellors and/or education agents.
  • Strong understanding of the high school counselling environments (domestic market).
  • Bilingual proficiency is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: AUD $65,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Work Model: Hybrid/Remote with travel across Australia as required
