About Our ClientJob Description
  • Be the second in charge of the Financial Compliance team, reporting directly to the Head of Financial Compliance and overseeing and reviewing the team's work.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Be a trusted advisor within the organisation for financial compliance.
  • Lead and provide guidance on provision of strategic technical accounting, reporting and compliance, including risk management.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making within the organisation.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during audit processes.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain financial stability.
The Successful Applicant
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional membership or certification (e.g. CPA, CA), or working towards.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting and analysis from a medium to large, complex entity.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Current Working Rights in Australia.
