The Firm

P.K. SIMPSON & CO has been in business for 48 years (est Principal is Mr P.K. Simpson ("Homer doesn't work here but P.K. does"). We specialise in Personal Injury Law and are well known and recognised for our commitment to the injured person.

You will be working in our friendly modern office along Goulburn Street in Sydney (near the District Court and the Personal Injury Commission). We are a short walk from both Central and Museum Stations.

The Position

An exciting career opportunity has come up for a proactive and friendly Legal Secretary / Paralegal / Law Clerk to join our well-managed TPD / Superannuation Claims Team. Working closely with our Solicitors, we are looking for people who can provide excellent legal and administrative support on a full time basis. Insurance case managers, law students, and legal secretaries or paralegals even with minimal personal injury experience are also encouraged to apply.

Your duties will involve:

· Managing and scheduling diary appointments

· Liaising with clients

· Drafting correspondence and legal documents under the supervision of a Solicitor

· General file management

· Diary management

· Organising conferences

The successful applicant will have:

· A can do and positive attitude

· High attention to detail

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to multi task and be organised

· A passion for helping people

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge of Microsoft work
